Flight tracking showed disruption at Abha later Tuesday morning and further interruptions over Riyadh. MenchOsint reported seven periods of disruption over Riyadh since Monday, including one lasting from 9:45 p.m. to midnight UTC and another beginning at 10:10 a.m. Tuesday. The cause of those interruptions was unclear.
Saudi aviation authorities earlier confirmed that Monday evening attacks on Jazan and Najran airports caused property damage and left three people with minor injuries, who were taken to hospital. The Houthis had also claimed strikes on Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport and the Aramco refinery in Rabigh. Verified footage showed a fire at Rabigh, but Saudi authorities had not confirmed its cause or the claimed hit on Riyadh’s airport.
