The location, timing and cause of footage purportedly showing fires after the attack remained unverified. Ryan Rozbiani, who circulated airport fire footage, subsequently identified one video as showing an attack two days earlier rather than Monday’s launch.
The renewed missile fire followed weekend attacks on Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport that killed 14 people and injured hundreds. The airport remained closed on Monday. The US mission required government personnel to obtain permission before using Saudi airports and warned Americans of flight cancellations, airspace closures and travel disruptions.
