One transformer at the Taibah power distribution station was knocked out of service during a September 29 drone strike on infrastructure that feeds the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina. Military spokesman Turki al-Maliki provided photographs and recovered wreckage as evidence that Yemen's Houthi militants carried out the attack, which has since been denounced by the governments of Türkiye, Pakistan and Qatar, as well as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
