Delta Air Lines postponed the start of its direct air route from Atlanta to Saudi Arabia following security threats on Monday. The carrier rescheduled the launch of nonstop flights to Riyadh for March 2027 after the country detected drone and cruise missile attacks, including strikes that targeted an airport.
The decision to delay the new service follows alerts issued by Saudi authorities regarding the aerial attacks. Delta’s revised timeline affects the company’s rollout of nonstop connectivity between its Georgia hub and the capital of the kingdom.
