Saudi aviation authorities confirmed attacks Sunday on Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport and Dammam’s King Fahd International Airport. The Riyadh attack caused injuries, and the Saudi-led coalition said an unidentified projectile struck Terminal 4, starting a fire. The Houthis claimed attacks on both airports and two Aramco facilities. Saturday’s separate Riyadh airport strike killed at least 13 people and wounded more than 300.
Riyadh and Dammam airports remained closed Sunday evening, while Jeddah recorded 156 flight cancellations, or 20%, and 374 delays, or 49%, Flightradar24 reported. The US mission advised travelers to check flight status directly with airlines and airports and said private cars, trains and buses may offer alternatives to flying.
