Ukrainian marine Volodymyr Obertas, whose drone footage documented the destruction inside Russian-occupied Oleshky, died in a hospital after stepping on an unidentified explosive device in central Kherson during the local ceasefire, public broadcaster Suspilne reported. Obertas, a member of the 34th Separate Marine Brigade’s communications unit, was accompanying journalists filming the city during the lull in fighting on Oct 27 when the device detonated as he looked for a camera angle, unit head Yevhen Voronetskyi said.
