Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran and Qatari mediators have reached a two-day plan under which the US would implement sanctions relief and other measures on the first day and Iran would reopen the Strait of Hormuz to normal transit on the second. Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said Monday that compressing Iran’s earlier seven-day framework into two days was a sign of goodwill that could be implemented over the next few days, while reiterating that the waterway will not reopen until the US ends its naval blockade and lifts sanctions.
