An Iran-linked tanker delivered a cargo of oil to a Chinese port after spending 3.5 months at sea, TankerTrackers reported. The delivery of 2 million barrels of crude came as U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has recovered to levels seen before the conflict, though those volumes exclude Iranian shipments. The U.S. military has maintained a security “bubble” using jets and warships to protect Gulf shipping, but the operation is being described by Western officials as completely unsustainable due to crew fatigue and costs of $2 billion to $3 billion per month.
