Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and US Central Command chief Admiral Brad Cooper are urging President Donald Trump to resume major combat operations against Iran within an eight-week window before a Democratic-controlled Congress takes office in January, NBC News and the Wall Street Journal reported.
