Omani naval vessels provided medical care and rescued survivors from the Cape Dao after projectiles struck the bulk carrier and ignited an engine room fire on Wednesday. 1 crew member, Indian seafarer Suraj Yadav, 26, was killed in the attack 2.5 nautical miles off Oman's Musandam governorate, leaving the vessel on fire and adrift.
