Thermal data indicated a 120MW fire at a pumping station on Saudi Arabia’s East-West crude oil pipeline on Sunday. The sighting follows claims by Yemen’s Houthis that they targeted the pipeline’s pumping stations as part of a wider wave of strikes against seven sites, including Saudi Aramco facilities in Yanbu and the 400,000 b/d Petro Rabigh refinery. The East-West pipeline, used to transport crude to the Red Sea to bypass the Strait of Hormuz, was also targeted in attacks last month.
