The latest strikes follow a Monday night attack on the State University of Trade and Economics and other crowded areas, which President Volodymyr Zelensky said left dead and wounded. Ukraine's air defenses are currently depleted of Patriot PAC-3 interceptors, leaving the city exposed to at least 40 missiles that Russia has staged in its border regions, including Bryansk and Rostov Oblasts. Zelensky has called the delay in supplying additional air defenses a contribution to Russian terror.
