Planned expenditures for the final week of the U.S. Senate races in South Carolina will exceed the spending levels of both Alaska and New Hampshire, while Kansas is scheduled to receive more funding than Texas and Maine. The shifting focus indicates that the Senate Leadership Fund is narrowing its final advertising push to a specific core of states, including South Carolina, Kansas, Nebraska, and Mississippi.
This strategy deviates from early projections that Georgia and North Carolina would be the primary battleground targets for the GOP super PAC. In its latest Federal Election Commission filing, the fund spent $3,278,069 across 10 races, including $978,000 in South Carolina and $960,000 in Nebraska. Total general election expenditures from the fund and its affiliates have now surpassed $500 million.
