Registered Republicans in Florida extended their statewide early and mail ballot lead past 135,000 by noon on Oct 31, the final day of in person early voting with all 67 counties open before Sunday voting narrows to 16 counties. On Day 13 of in person voting, Republicans cast 63,221 ballots (45.1%), compared with 43,407 for Democrats (30.9%) and 29,877 for independents (21.2%), a 14.2 percentage point Republican margin for the day.
The Saturday gains built on Friday’s highest turnout day of the cycle, which sent Republicans into the final weekend ahead by roughly 117,000 total ballots, or 2.5 percentage points, after passing the 100,000 ballot mark earlier on Oct 30. Through the end of Day 12 on Friday, cumulative in person early voting reached 1,266,874 Republican ballots, 1,007,126 Democratic ballots and 606,909 from unaffiliated and other voters.
Even with those additions and a statewide voter registration advantage that grew to 1.6 million from 400,000, Republicans continued to trail their 2024 early voting pace. The 9.0 percentage point cumulative GOP lead in in person voting through Day 12 compared with a 22.1 point Republican advantage at the same stage in 2024, a 13.1 point shift toward Democrats that narrowed from 14.3 points on Day 11 and 24.4 points on Day 1.
