The U.S. president concluded his final in-person campaign event of the 2026 midterm cycle in Kansas, where he told supporters that a Democratic victory on Tuesday would lead to higher taxes and the seizure of firearms. Speaking in Salina, Trump also claimed that the opposition plans to defund police forces if they win the elections.
While the Kansas stop ends his travel schedule of physical rallies, Trump will hold nine tele-rallies and is scheduled to deliver closing remarks Monday afternoon at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington. Trump has previously stated the D.C. venue was selected to showcase the completion of repairs to the pool, which he said had remained nonfunctional since 1922.
