The attack was the second on the crossing in two consecutive mornings. Saturday’s drone strike damaged the roadway and severed trolleybus power lines. Those attacks followed four strikes on the Southern Bridge on Thursday and Friday that left it closed to road traffic and metro services, causing large traffic jams. Russia’s Defense Ministry acknowledged targeting the Northern Bridge, claiming it carries troops and supplies to the front.
Ukrainian presidential technology adviser Serhii Beskrestnov, known as Flash, warned that Russian forces may be using covert ground radio repeaters in Kyiv to steer drones in real time. Such links could allow operators to adjust their approach to bridges and bypass electronic warfare defenses, he said.
