Zelenskyy and UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband visited Pryluky, where a Russian missile strike the previous day killed 22 people, including five children, and injured 54. More than 100 residential buildings were damaged, along with schools, kindergartens, shops and businesses. Zelenskyy directed regional authorities to provide immediate help to residents left without housing and said those affected should receive new homes.
The two also visited injured survivors at a Pryluky hospital, where 13 of the 17 people hospitalized were being treated. Zelenskyy ordered repairs to the hospital shelter, work toward building a new shelter and an inspection of all shelters in the city. After security briefings, he said Ukraine was preparing responses to Russia’s escalation and seeking additional air defense packages and F-16 munitions from partners.
