Tehran and Washington have concluded a round of Qatar-mediated negotiations to end regional hostilities without reaching a breakthrough. While the latest talks in Doha ended without a signed agreement, Iran stated that diplomatic contacts with the U.S. are continuing through third-party mediators.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei explicitly rejected a proposal to move Iran’s 60% enriched uranium stockpile to a third country as part of a deal. The U.S. has sought the dilution of the nuclear stockpile, estimated between 400 kg and 440 kg, and expanded access to facility inspections. Iran has maintained seven requirements for a resolution, including the total removal of U.S. economic sanctions and the withdrawal of American troops from the region.
