Latest returns for Florida’s 27th congressional district show a razor-thin margin between the Republican incumbent and her Democratic opponent. Maria Salazar currently holds a 0.08 percentage point lead over Eliott Rodriguez, with 50.04% of the vote compared to 49.96% as of the 95% reporting mark.
The race for the Miami-area seat saw a reversal in momentum after Rodriguez held an early lead of 3.6 percentage points when approximately 78% of ballots were counted. Salazar, who has represented the district since 2021, and Rodriguez are both former local television journalists.
