The attack killed a 21-year-old woman and damaged the Chernihivska and Lisova metro stations, forcing their closure. Russia launched approximately 21 missiles targeting the CHP-4 power plant and a 330 kV substation; no ballistic missiles were intercepted because Ukraine has depleted its stock of Patriot PAC-3 interceptors. This is the second time since Oct. 12 that Kyiv was hit without advance warning despite President Volodymyr Zelensky's claims that Washington had resumed sharing launch data.
