The AI startup has selected JPMorgan to manage the distribution of its initial public offering shares to individual buyers in the United States. Anthropic is considering allocating 15% to 20% of the total IPO for retail investors, while Citigroup will oversee the sale of shares to individual investors in markets including Canada, Japan, Australia, and the UK.
JPMorgan previously handled the retail component of the $86.2B SpaceX IPO, which generated more than $100B in demand from retail participants. CEO Jamie Dimon is anticipated to be involved in the bank’s campaign to promote the Anthropic offering.
