OpenAI has grown its advertiser base to more than 100,000 partners to support the rapid scaling of its commercial operations. The firm has extended its advertising network to 89 countries, up from 83 previously, and reportedly hit an annual revenue run rate of $1B in under 200 days. This rollout is part of an accelerating effort to diversify earnings beyond subscription fees by widening the geographic reach of sponsored content.
The number of advertisers on the platform is up from 20,000 in August, according to The Information. OpenAI is also preparing to launch ‘Sponsored Agents’ to monetize user shopping decisions, a development that has contributed to a rise in the value of the company’s pre-IPO perpetual securities.
