Democratic Rep. Haley Stevens attended Sunday services alongside Republican Senate nominee Mike Rogers at Perfecting Church in Detroit two days before the midterm election, praising his economic platform after her planned unity event with Democratic nominee Abdul El-Sayed collapsed. During the appearance, where the two hugged and stood together during the service, Stevens said she supports investing in Black-owned businesses and added, “And that’s the policy that Mike’s going to take on.”
