A challenger from the Democratic party has won the race to replace the Republican representative for the Dayton area. Kristina Knickerbocker defeated incumbent Rep. Mike Turner to claim the seat in the 10th district, officially flipping the House seat to the Democrats as part of the 2026 midterm elections.
Turner previously held the district with a comfortable margin, winning by 19% in the 2024 cycle. Current returns from Montgomery County show a significant shift in support, with Knickerbocker receiving 43,705 votes, or 67%, compared to 20,493 votes for Turner.
