The strike was part of an overnight barrage of 70 missiles and attack drones that hit infrastructure in Kyiv and 12 regions, with energy facilities among the key targets, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said. Two people each were killed in Kyiv, Kremenchuk and Oleksandriya. Missile strikes also damaged five apartment buildings in Dnipro and four in Kremenchuk, while a drone damaged a residential tower in Zaporizhzhia.
Russia’s Defense Ministry said its forces targeted Ukrainian missile and drone production and storage facilities, as well as port infrastructure and vessels supporting Ukraine’s military. Zelenskyy renewed his appeal for air defense supplies, including Patriot missiles. “Russian ballistic missiles remain the greatest challenge,” he said.
