Israel’s Central Elections Committee rejected a request from Yesh Atid lawmaker Vladimir Beliak to convene its presidium over suspected Qatari election interference, stating there is “no basis for claims of systematic harm to election integrity.” Acting Director General Dan Livneh said the Knesset vote was conducted lawfully and ballot-box integrity was preserved, citing confirmations from the police commissioner and Shin Bet chief David Zini. Livneh added that committee chairman Justice Noam Sohlberg ordered the Shin Bet to conduct a classified administrative review after receiving sensitive material that required further examination without convening the presidium.
