Riyadh and Dammam airports remained closed Sunday evening, while Jeddah recorded 156 flight cancellations, or 20%, and 374 delays, or 49%, Flightradar24 reported. Saudi aviation authorities confirmed attacks on Riyadh and Dammam on Sunday, with the Riyadh strike causing injuries. The Saudi-led coalition said an unidentified projectile struck Terminal 4, sparking a fire. The Houthis claimed attacks on both airports and two Aramco facilities.
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan also spoke with Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi on Sunday about reducing regional tensions, the Saudi Press Agency reported. It was their first publicly reported contact since the Houthis intensified attacks on Saudi Arabia.
