The top official overseeing federal security cases has stepped down from his role as assistant attorney general of the Justice Department. Attorney General Todd Blanche confirmed Friday that John Eisenberg resigned from the National Security Division, the same day that Jason Reding Quiñones resigned his post as the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Florida. The departures follow the resignation of DOJ official Harmeet Dhillon on Thursday, as the department undergoes a reshuffling of senior leadership following the midterms.
