The campaign for Abdul El-Sayed recorded a surge in contributions that put the candidate just behind James Talarico on the ActBlue donor leaderboard. The increase followed a decision by former primary challenger Haley Stevens to endorse Republican Mike Rogers, prompting the campaign to raise $1.2M in the four hours following the announcement.
The haul represents the second-best daily fundraising total for El-Sayed since he won the party nomination in August. The campaign for the former state official had previously seen only one stronger day of fundraising in that period.
