Apple, Home Depot and GE Vernova have opted out of having their shares tokenized on OKXICE, the planned 24/7 blockchain trading venue backed by crypto exchange OKX and New York Stock Exchange parent Intercontinental Exchange. The three additions bring total disclosed issuer objections to 59 companies and block 53 of the 63 stock symbols the joint venture originally proposed to list.
Under the SEC’s conditional innovation exemption, issuers have 30 calendar days after receiving notice to file a written objection that bars unaffiliated third party tokens of their shares from trading on the venue. With Apple joining Tesla, Amazon, Nvidia, Microsoft and Alphabet, six of the Magnificent Seven tech companies have now objected, alongside SpaceX, JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs and Walmart.
