The decentralized exchange operated by Uniswap and the blockchain associated with Robinhood have updated their systems to allow token issuers more control over where their digital assets are exchanged. The integration of the Token Venue Policy framework enables issuers to designate official trading markets for their tokens, which the developers say will hinder the ability of predatory liquidity pools to divert assets from established venues.
The new URC-5 standard was merged into Uniswap’s repository to establish a uniform protocol for V4 hook tokens. By defining exactly where a token is permitted to trade, the policy aims to prevent the creation of malicious “vampire pools” that attempt to drain liquidity from official markets on the Robinhood Chain and the v4 version of Uniswap.
