The United Arab Emirates’ National Guard recovered the crew of the M/V Huda from the Gulf of Oman on Nov 8, after the cargo vessel caught fire following a U.S. military strike. A total of 22 people were rescued from the burning ship, which had been disabled on Saturday when a military aircraft fired precision munitions at its stern, according to U.S. Central Command. The St. Kitts-flagged ship was attempting to depart regional waters after visiting an Iranian port and had repeatedly ignored orders to comply with a naval blockade of Iran.
