Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed interrupted Fox News anchor Bret Baier on live television to refuse questions about a 2012 letter he signed backing Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood government. El-Sayed cut off Baier as he began reading the letter, saying “I’m not interested” and telling the anchor, “You’re gonna ask questions about my allegiance?! Don’t be Rogers’ campaign. Be a journalist.” During the same appearance, El-Sayed denied ever belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood and said he voted for Kamala Harris when asked whom he backed in the last presidential primary.
