Iran ruled out any new diplomatic steps or reopening the Strait of Hormuz until Washington satisfies all seven of its conditions simultaneously, including compensation demands, a senior Iranian security official told the IRGC affiliated Fars News Agency after Kremlin talks on Thursday. The official dismissed Western reports that Supreme National Security Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaei presented a new political initiative to Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow as a fabrication, while Russia’s Foreign Ministry warned citizens the same day to avoid travel to Iran over the risk of renewed military escalation, its first such advisory since the war began on Feb 28.
