Yashar party leader Gadi Eisenkot opened coalition talks to any Knesset member who signs four guiding principles and said he will back military operations before a new government is sworn in only against direct, immediate threats to Israel, including limiting support for strikes on Iran. Eisenkot argued that a majority of voters rejected Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s ruling coalition by a margin of more than 500,000 ballots, reversing earlier opposition pledges to boycott Arab-led factions as he seeks a 61 seat majority.
