Following Tuesday’s election, the partisan balance of the New Hampshire State House will shift for the next legislative term. Democratic candidates won the bulk of the seats in the race, taking 292 of the legislative positions, while Republicans secured 107 and a single seat was won by an independent.
The results, which were posted by the election tracking service VoteHub, establish the membership for the state’s lower chamber for the upcoming session. The Democratic party’s win gives it a lead of 185 seats over the Republican party.
