Emergency crews continued clearing rubble from the destroyed five-story building in Ukraine’s Chernihiv region. Fifteen people were rescued, including one child. Ukraine’s State Emergency Service earlier reported 50 injured, including seven children; Zelenskyy’s latest update said dozens were injured.
The strike was part of an overnight barrage of 70 missiles and attack drones that hit infrastructure in Kyiv and 12 regions, with energy facilities among the key targets, Zelenskyy said. He called Russia’s continued missile attacks “an absolutely deliberate choice of terror” and urged more pressure on Moscow and additional defense packages. Russia’s Defense Ministry said its forces targeted Ukrainian missile and drone production and storage facilities, as well as port infrastructure and vessels supporting Ukraine’s military.
