The price of the global oil benchmark fell during Oct 29 trading as hope for renewed peace talks between the U.S. and Iran reduced concerns about supply disruptions in the Middle East. Brent crude fell by more than $1 per barrel during the session, hitting a low of $114.20, as traders weighed the likelihood of a diplomatic breakthrough in the Persian Gulf.
The decline follows a volatile period for energy markets. Brent futures rose 1.26% to settle at $115.32 on Oct 28, reversing a previous slide on Oct 27 when the contract settled 1.67% lower at $113.88.
