Civilian evacuations and humanitarian aid distribution began in Russian-occupied Oleshky on Friday after a 25-bus convoy with 750 seats reached the southern Ukrainian town, with Prime Minister Koretskyi saying Kyiv expects 527 residents to return to Ukrainian-controlled territory. Russian Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova said residents were boarding buses for both Ukraine and Russia as medical screening continued ahead of a 2 p.m. local cutoff, accompanied by ambulances, mobility vehicles and more than 50 medical specialists.
