Production of Nvidia’s VR200 rack cabinets is facing a one to two month delay caused by defects in midplane printed circuit boards (PCBs) and other components. The disruption shifts the volume ramp for the cabinets to the fourth quarter of 2026, which will postpone revenue recognition for the company’s Rubin generation of AI chips.
The delay affects the delivery rhythm for Taiwan’s supply chain during the second half of 2026, particularly for PCB and rack assembly partners. Victory Giant recently encountered an impedance mismatch during V8 validation that degraded signal integrity for high-speed interfaces, while Dynamic Electronics was eliminated from the supplier race after the same testing round. Separate shipment estimates project Nvidia will move 26,000 to 27,000 NVL72 equivalent cabinets in 2025.
