The objections follow a regulatory framework requiring tokens to be backed one-for-one with underlying shares and maintain the same voting rights and dividends. Prior to the latest wave of rejections, nine companies had already opted out, including CoreWeave, Broadcom, Verizon and UnitedHealth. Of the 62 companies on OKXICE's original roster, 15 had objected as of Oct. 20, while Nasdaq also stated it would opt out of the SEC framework for its own shares.
