Before the evening mail drop, Republicans led Monday's statewide in-person early vote 43.6% to 36.3%. That 7.3 point Republican margin still marked a 21.9 point shift toward Democrats compared with the third day of in-person voting in 2024, when Republicans won 54.3% to 25.1%. In Clark County, Democrats held a 0.9 point in-person lead at 5:50 p.m. Pacific time (5,246 votes to 5,124 out of 13,141 cast), reversing a 22.5 point Republican advantage on the comparable day in 2024 and a 13.2 point Republican margin in 2022.
As of Monday morning, 7.5% of registered Nevada Democrats had voted, compared with 6.3% of Republicans and 2.8% of other voters. Election analysts noted that while Republicans chipped away at early Democratic leads as voting progressed in 2024, prior cycle comparisons are complicated this year by Democrats shifting from mail to in-person voting and ballot drop boxes over US Postal Service delivery concerns.
