The advances east of Sloviansk coincided with counterattacks around the Siverskyi Donets–Donbas canal. Russian positions remain around Vasiutynske and between Starodubivka and Piskunivka, and Muzyka said the evidence does not establish a wholesale Russian withdrawal. At Velykyi Burluk, his dataset recorded no Russian gains during the week, while both sides reportedly reinforced the sector. Whether the counterattacks form a broader operation remains unclear. His maps also showed net Russian gains on the Kreminna axis despite reports of Ukrainian progress north of Lyman, an unresolved discrepancy.
Across the front, net Russian territorial gains fell to 29.78 square kilometers from 102.62 in the previous reporting period. Reported ground engagements declined 14% to 1,396 and Russian KAB bomb use fell 7% to 1,847, while drone use against frontline targets was broadly unchanged. Russia continued gaining ground in central Donetsk, along the Sumy border and north of Huliaipole. Muzyka cautioned that the figures do not establish a lasting reduction in Russia’s offensive capacity and that territorial updates may reflect earlier fighting.
