The Texas contest has dominated the Kalshi prediction market for the 2026 U.S. Senate elections, with its trading volume more than tripling that of any other single state race. Along with Michigan, the Texas market accounts for nearly half of all wagers placed on the Senate general elections, which collectively have reached a total volume nearing $200 million.
The shift toward a Democratic majority in these markets accelerated during September and October as traders incorporated early voting data from tens of millions of cast ballots. While the modal outcome listed on Oct 31 estimated Democrats would reach 54 seats, other current forecasts and trader predictions project a narrower 52-48 Democratic majority following recent movements in races like Ohio.
