Ansarallah leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said in a televised Martyrs’ Day speech Thursday that reports of a blockade on Yemen’s third-largest city are “false and fabricated,” claiming “the way is open for food and humanitarian supplies to enter” and that “the only thing prohibited is the entry of weapons to the Saudi enemy militias.” He also stated that southern Yemenis are not targeted by his forces and demanded that Saudi Arabia end its military campaign and relinquish control of Yemeni resources.
