China’s stock market is on track to close lower for a 12th consecutive week, extending the longest losing streak in its history even after the central bank established an emergency cash facility for nonbank institutions facing heavy withdrawals. The deepening bear market wiped out another $240 billion in a single session on Thursday, following a $300 billion drop earlier in the week, bringing total mainland equity losses to $2.4 trillion since May and $3.5 trillion across the broader Chinese market.
