President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia fired 39 ballistic missiles and more than 120 attack drones and loitering munitions, damaging 26 power facilities, including Kyiv's CHP-4 combined heat and power plant, and four oil and gas sites. Calling the assault on sites covered by US President Donald Trump's announced energy truce an unprecedented display of "ostentatious disrespect toward the United States," Zelenskyy urged Trump to impose strong sanctions under legislation sponsored by Senator Lindsey Graham and to supply additional Patriot interceptors.
For a second consecutive night, Zelenskyy said Ukraine received no advance warning of incoming ballistic missiles from international partners, with domestic systems detecting the weapons only on approach to Kyiv amid reports that Starlink access was also restricted overnight. Earlier Tuesday, Trump and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha denied that Washington had halted intelligence sharing, with US officials blaming bad weather to Politico and Ukrainian officials and open source analysts pointing to Russia's use of harder to detect modified S-400 missiles.
