The world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange has installed a new leader to manage its financial operations. Justin Yek has been appointed as chief financial officer to succeed Kaiser Ng, with the transition taking place shortly after a cyberattack resulted in the theft of more than $6 billion in digital assets from the platform.
Ng is departing the company to pursue a new business venture, Binance confirmed. The formal announcement of the leadership change followed several hours of unofficial reports on social media claiming that Ng had already left his post.
