Security and commercial ties between Tehran and Doha are now ripe for an upgrade, Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni said after completing an official visit to Qatar. During a meeting with the Emir of Qatar in Doha on Tuesday, Momeni delivered a diplomatic message from President Masoud Pezeshkian and received a set of views and proposals from the Emir to relay back to the Iranian president. Momeni described the discussions as "good and constructive" before departing for Tehran on Tuesday evening.
