The 40 year old was arrested at his home in Converse by DPS SWAT officers on Oct 1, based on a tip received the previous evening. Investigators say Caldera told a friend he intended to "shoot up" the capitol on a day coinciding with a scheduled visit by President Trump and expressed a desire to "exterminate" members of the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee. Caldera was briefly released on a $75,000 bond before being taken into federal custody.
